Hello,

 

As Mayor of the City of Oakdale, I would like to welcome you!

 

I am very proud to have served as Mayor of this beautiful city for the last  fourteen years.  We have had many positive changes occur during this time with population growth, the opening of new businesses and of course the addition of a new Super Wal-Mart along with a new Martco Ltd. OSB plant.

 

Oakdale is the North gateway to Allen Parish and is what we consider a great first impression. You won’t find a friendlier place to live, visit, or just stop in for a cup of coffee.  Few Oakdalians ever meet a stranger and are always eager to brag about our town and it’s colorful history. 

 

Oakdale is a central location for outdoor sports and recreation.  Located to our West is the West Bay Game Reserve, which attracts hunters from all over Louisiana as well as surrounding states.  With rivers and streams located all around us, you can always find a place to fish, swim or just relax.

 

So again, I would like to welcome you and hope that your stay in our area is a pleasant one.  I’m sure it will be one that you won’t soon forget.
